High-Performance Vacuum Box for Precise Leak Testing – BAV-4025
The BAV-4025 is a compact, versatile vacuum box (400 × 250 mm) designed for precise leak testing of flat welds, lap joints, curved seams, and complex geometries. This model is particularly well-suited for lap weld inspection thanks to its flexible foam base and compatibility with silicone spacers, ensuring optimal seal contact even on challenging shapes.
🟦 Flat and Curved Weld Testing
- In its standard configuration, the BAV-4025 comes with a 35 mm high-compression foam base, ideal for flat seams, shallow weld geometries, and large-radius curves. This setup provides a tight, uniform seal for most standard applications.
- For more pronounced curves or irregular geometries, the optional 45 mm foam base can offer greater flexibility and sealing performance, allowing the box to better conform to complex profiles.
🟧 Lap Weld Testing
For lap welds, the configuration depends on the height of the joint:
- Up to 15 mm lap welds: Use the standard 35 mm foam base in combination with silicone spacers (BAV-090). This setup allows the foam to adapt to moderate offsets while maintaining a reliable vacuum seal.
- Up to 25 mm lap welds: For deeper or more irregular lap welds, we recommend the optional 45 mm foam base, which provides greater flexibility and compression, always used with silicone spacers for optimal sealing.
Note: The actual lap weld height that can be effectively sealed may vary depending on the sharpness of the joint and the surface finish.

CONTROL VALVE
Our vacuum boxes include an anodized aluminum quick-control valve system performing the following functions:
- Quick adjustment of the vacuum pressure using either the Venturi effect or a vacuum pump
- Release valve for eliminating the vacuum and immediately detaching the vacuum box
VACUUM ADJUSTMENT AND REGULATION
- Integrated vacuum gauge within the window for mechanical protection
- Easily removable with a single nut
