As an option, we offer a high-performance LED lighting system compatible with our entire range of vacuum boxes.

Our LED lighting features a built-in light diffuser to minimize reflections on the viewing window surface.

Its screw-on mounting system allows you to easily adjust the direction of the light beam.

The system includes multiple brightness levels ranging from 500 to 15,000 Lux, making it adaptable to all lighting requirements defined by various inspection standards.

Thanks to its built-in battery, the unit offers long autonomy and can be easily removed when needed.

Since leak testing inspections often take place in humid and demanding environments, our LED lighting system has been designed with an IP68 rating, ensuring reliable operation even in the harshest conditions.

PRESENTATION AND APPLICATIONS

Vacuum box leak testing is frequently conducted in confined, poorly lit environments—such as inside storage tanks or ship hulls—where natural light is limited or absent. These inspections are often mandated by industry standards, including those from the American Petroleum Institute (API), Lloyd’s Register (LR), and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). For instance, the NAVSEA Standard Item 009-025 outlines specific procedures for vacuum box testing in marine applications.

To address the challenges posed by low-light conditions during such inspections, we’ve developed an optional high-performance LED lighting system. This system enhances the visibility of indications and complies with inspection standards, thereby improving ergonomics and significantly increasing the speed and accuracy of defect detection.

This lighting solution is designed to meet the rigorous demands of leak testing inspections, enhancing both efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Adjustable Brightness

Brightness is adjustable from 500 to 15,000 Lux to meet all applicable standards and improve indication detectability — helping you enhance both the quality and speed of your leak testing.

Battery life depends on the selected light intensity, with excellent performance even at higher settings (e.g., up to 6 hours at 2,500 Lux).

Positionable and angle-adjustable

Depending on the type of inspection configuration, the LED option can be mounted in two different positions on all vacuum box models, allowing for optimal control of potential reflections — except on the triangular model, which offers a single mounting position that has been specifically optimized to minimize glare.

The LED system also features a custom-designed light diffuser to further reduce reflections, improving the readability of indications and enhancing inspection comfort.

Compatible with all our vacuum box models

Our full range of next-generation BAV vacuum box is compatible with the BAV-050 LED lighting option.
This option can easily be shared across multiple vacuum box models, allowing you to optimize your equipment investment.
Thanks to its simple two-screw mounting system, the LED unit can be quickly removed and reinstalled on different vacuum boxes — a smart way to save both time and money.
